Prospective Students (Several PhD positions are available )
If you are a motivated and hard-working student, please send a single PDF containing your CV, SOP, and transcripts to bana@ou.edu (Email subject: Applicant’s Name – Starting Semester). Since NICS spans multiple disciplines, no incoming student is expected to have expertise in every area. The lab fosters a highly stimulating student-centric research environment.
1. Experience in modeling and simulation of promising materials for electronic applications (e.g. new 2D materials);
2. Experience in modeling the electronic devices (transistors, memristors, sensors, memories) to be used for circuit design (e.g. Developed compact circuit model of low-power transistors or memristors for circuit simulators like HSPICE);
3. Experience in designing low-power integrated circuits and hardware (e.g. VLSI or VHDL design).
4. Experience in coding (e.g., Python, C++, Matlab/Mathematica) and artificial neural network models for solving real-world and domain-specific problems.
5. Experience in hardware-software co-design (Hardware-in-the-loop) algorithms and training methods for neuromorphic ICs
Please don’t hesitate to discuss your qualifications, ideas, and visions with me. I am always open to hearing from motivated students.
